There are hundreds of types of transportation from
boats, cars and vehicles, to planes, hot-air balloons, trains and more. Transportation in dreams represents
that which gets us from one place in life to another. It’s our jobs, our ministries, our relationships,
etc.
Take note of the size and condition of the transportation. Is it a bicycle that requires more effort and
involves only you, or is it a jumbo jet that has hundreds of people? This will help to reveal what it’s
referring to in your life.
Pay attention to the type of transportation and the characteristics of it. Note the specific type and
brand. If it’s a car, look at the color, what make and model is it, etc. If you are driving a Dodge, perhaps
you are able to “dodge” the things that would hinder your progress or maybe you’re “dodging” responsibility. If
it’s a boat, is it a tug boat, speed boat, or the Titanic? If you’re riding on the Titanic, it’s warning you that
what you’re involved in (a company, ministry, etc.) will not succeed and you need to “jump ship.” If it’s an
ambulance, perhaps God is bringing you to a place of healing, either emotionally or physically. If you are driving
the ambulance, it reveals that you are helping others get to a place of emotional or physical healing – perhaps you
are counseling a friend, etc.
Look to see where you are in the vehicle and that will reveal your role in it. Are you driving and making the
decisions? Should you be? Maybe it’s about your marriage and your husband should be the one driving and he’s not.
Are you in the back seat? Maybe that says you are part of someone else’s company, ministry, etc., or maybe it’s a
word-play indicating that you are “taking a back seat” and not being as involved as others are. You’re not being a
“backseat driver,” are you?
If you’re on a plane, are you part of a big company or does it mean you have the ability to fly high above your
circumstances? Perhaps plane is simply a word-play indicating that God is making something “plain” or obvious to
you. Just keep asking why God chose to use this particular type of transportation versus another.
