Above and Beyond: Your Gateway to Dreams, Visions and Spiritual Illumination

Guns and knives are weapons.  Weapons can be used for good or bad.  We can use them to defend ourselves or attack an enemy. As always, context is the key to a correct interpretation, but usually guns and knives speak of harmful words that hurt and even destroy people.

Guns that harm others represent us “shooting off at the mouth” and inflicting injury to someone with our hurtful words or “taking shots at someone”.  Guns carry a lot of power and so does our mouth.  God says that the power of life and death is in the tongue.  The saying, “sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me” is a complete lie and goes against what God says.

Ammunition would speak of the things you know about a person that you use against them, as in “I’ve been keeping track of all the time he’s been late to work and I have a lot of ammunition against him.”

The type of gun may also give you further insight to the issues or the amount of power.  For instance, a 9 millimeter may speak of judging someone else because the number 9 can represent judgment.  The larger the gun is indicates the magnitude of the ability to hurt someone.

Knives are sharp instruments.  Our words can be very sharp and pointed at times.  Also, to hurt someone with a knife, you have to be close to them and that may indicate that you’ve hurt someone close to you or vice versa.
