Cats usually represent our own way of thinking.  Cats are not obedient by nature, and therefore they can represent “stray” thoughts we may be having or making decisions from our soul and mind instead of our spirit, which will agree with what God wants us to do. In a nutshell, cats can be interpreted as “independent thinking.” It may also mean that either the dreamer or the person the cat represents is not behaving with a heart to obey and they are not being teachable.

If we love cats and it’s our cat in the dream, it may represent something that you love dearly or something that brings you comfort. It also may represent both – you wanting to hold on to your own way of thinking because you don’t want to let go of it and because it brings you comfort.

Many times our pets can also represent either us or our friends. Pay attention to the attitude of the pet or animal and ask yourself if you or someone you know acts like that. Be honest…we are quick to deny our faults!

If the cat is black, it may represent witchcraft unless, of course, it’s your personal cat and it just happens to be black.

If it’s a really fat cat, it may be a word-play for someone who is wealthy.
